FileMirrors Information 4: How is this different from Peer to Peer--P2P FileMirrors Information 4: How is this different from Peer to Peer--P2P. Unlike P2P and file sharing programs, users (you) are NOT sharing the files themselves and are NOT sharing your network bandwidth. The only thing that is 'shared' is the URL where you found a file--a small extra bit of text added to the search request. What you get back from FileMirros is a list of URLs that were found by other GetRight users. Since each available URL only needs to be 'found' once, when popular new files are released, a good list of alternate download URLs should become available on FileMirrors very quickly. :-) |
