View printer friendly version of current page More... Right-click menus in Maxthon GetRight's newer "Save As Replacement" click monitoring works very well in Maxthon to take over your downloads. But it does not support the GetRight Right-Click menu additions. To enable them in Maxthon: Open this file in notepad or another editor (this is the default install directory for Maxthon, adjust as needed) After the line: Add the line: Close and restart Maxthon, then pick the Options-->Maxthon Options menu. On the Plugin page, switch to the IE Plugin tab. Find the "Bho2gr Class" and add a check by it. Then close and restart Maxthon again. To add support for RAR and ACE files. Go to the Monitor page of Getright's configuration window and add this to the list of files which GetRight downloads automatically: ;.RAR;.R0*;R1*;R2*;.R3*;R4*;R5*; ;.ACE;.C0*;C1*;C2*;.C3*;C4*;C5*; The "Enter Code" button is grayed out Download and run this file (less than 1K in size). This will bring back the "Enter Code" field. This will also fix if you do have a good paid-for code, but GetRight says it is not valid when you type it in. The GetRight Browser won't open That is caused by a problem with the richtx32.ocx file. If you install this file: richtx_install.exe it will fix the problem. Also, if you re-install GetRight, that will also fix the problem. The total file size grows every time GetRight resumes it. There are some FTP servers which don't quite handle the way GetRight is resuming. See if you can find the same file on a different server. For the techies who want to know the details: There are MANY translations available for GetRight. For most translations, you will need to download and install the English version of GetRight first, then run the translation patch. Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovene, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and more… The standard install applies protocol rules to members of a security group called "BackOffice Internet Users". This refuses to let GetRight through the firewall. Changing the setting for that group to "Any request" should help GetRight get thru. To get to the relevant setting: (Thanks to Russel Arnold of Objective Software for finding this one!) See also: more info from isaserver.org tutorials. Trouble finishing a download that has reached 99% If the download gets to 99 percent but then pauses and you have trouble getting it to finish, even clicking Resume: It seems there are a couple possible causes: To fix this with WebWasher, set GetRight's proxy settings to localhost port 8080. This will essentailly have GetRight use WebWasher as a proxy and should fix things. Aother WebWasher fix (if you need to have some other proxy setting) is to change some settings in WebWasher. Right click the WebWasher tray icon (looks like a W in a blue circle). Select the "Browser Configuration" menu item. WebWasher causes problems in GetRight if it is set to the "Configuration Free" mode. Just choose one of the other options and GetRight will work better. Upgrading if no patch is available for your installed version. Try downloading the shareware version (instead of a patch installer) and install it over your older version. This will upgrade from ANY older version and still keep your settings and registration (if applicable). For more information, click here. |
